It is only recently that I have gained a true understanding of what "grace" is and how it can have a very powerful impact on one's spiritual journey.
Through various metaphysical experiences (either during mediation or mantra recitation), I have experienced the subtle euphoria and clarity of mind that arises from experiencing divine grace.
When you connect to a deity, through Bhakti Yoga (devotion) or to your own divine presence through meditation ... you can essentially get some temporary freedom from your own karma and the delusions of your mind. It is kind of the ultimate get of of jail experience. This kind of euphoric grace
can be quite temporary, but it does point you in the right direction.

As I have pondered my experiences of grace, I have come to realize that my whole life, as it is, is a generous gift of grace from God.
Each of us have be given a space in the universe to go play and to evolve. We are so lucky to be humans, with the ability to self reflect, and given the liberty and opportunity (as Bob Thurman says) we can attain enlightenment. What joy, and what gratitude this exudes in my soul. I am so very thankful for the grace of God that is my life.
In Judaism, we give thanks to God all the time, in the form of bruchahs , or blessings. We realize that all bounty and opportunity in life is the there by the grace of God.
I encourage everyone to be thankful and joyful at the space you have been given to bring love and beauty into the world.
